The Bots haven’t wasted any time paving their way to stardom. Mikaiah (lead guitar) was 15, and Anaiah (drums and backing vocals) 12 when their first album was recorded. THAT.IS.INSPIRING. I’ve just turned 30 and am only vaguely getting my shit together.
Hailed as the future of Punk this band radiates youthful exuberance and raw talent. With driving drumbeats so furious that you can only offer twitching spasms in retaliation, and grinding melodies so catchy they virtually burn themselves into your memory, The Bots are as infectious as they are ground-breakingly talented.
The brothers from Glendale, California credit their mother for her guidance and faith and their father, for his support and inspiration. During the Vans Warped Tour 2011, Against Me!’s Tom Gabel told Rolling Stone “I’m pretty sure their mom is out on tour and watching over them,” He called the young duo one of his favorite acts on the 44-date tour. Other musical inspirations include Rancid, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, The XX, Bad Brains, Circle Jerks, The White Stripes and Arcade Fire.
Having already toured and played with the likes of Blur, Snoop Dog, The Hives and Black Keys the pair are currently working on their fourth album. Any spare time they have is spent rampaging, touring, and generally getting amongst it.
The Bots are on a two-man mission of destruction…to Punk Rock the living shit out of you!
