Sometimes you meet someone young, and they radiate such calm wisdom that you could believe they had already lived many past lives.
I haven’t met Tommy Paxton Beesley, but I’m listening to Atlantis from his album, Synapsis and I feel like I’ve gained access to something quiet spiritual. The unique sounds of River Tiber seem to come from somewhere deep and profound.
Glitchy electronica, haunting chimes, and celestial vocals are backed by basslines that reverberate in my soul. These sounds have an otherworldly quality about them. I am lifted.
At 22 Tommy is producing and multitracking all the instruments, vocals, samples and sounds on his recordings. For live shows fellow musicians John Mavrogiannis, Thadeus Garwood, and David Lewis join him onstage. This development has brought River Tiber to life as an energetic and powerful live performance.
Toronto seems to be breeding musical genius at the moment. With so much quality music emanating from the city it raises the question: is there something in the water?
Synapsis is the best thing that happened to me today. It’s available for FREE download HERE: http://rivertiber.com/
